Umm…. have you noticed that there are sooo many ways to be connected and disconnected at the same time?do you get what I mean?  Let me break it down for ya.This is how it all started for me.  Myspace was first. A few years ago, it was fun, and nothing was taken too  seriously at the time. It was like a contest to see who could put up the best default pic/ sexy , funny or ironic pic. Or who could come up with the most clever comments to leave on ones page. Back then it was all glitter comments and cool backgrounds and that was all that mattered.then came the AIM game for me, that was fun and more private, (nice for flirting on the D.L.). Then came BBM ( that’s Blackberry Messenger for all of you iphone people, or those who still own a cell phone with “old school” numbers, I envy your freedom that eludes me now). And just let me state for the record, I currently have 61 bbm contact presently.Now, the only reason I prefer this mode of communication is because of the free texting. gotta love that. The bad thing, people know instantly that you have received and read there text. bummer when you aren’t ready to chat, but I digress.Then , hello Facebook. ah there you are. Pretty much the same exact thing as Myspace, but with a less High school yearbook feel to it. Those who  take there web life seriously, like to think that facebook is more mature than myspace… sorry, you are only fooling yourself with that one.Now there is Twitter. WTF Its just too much right? I mean we are on the verge of creating a society of people who don’t know how to speak in real life.  They are So afraid of verbal confrontation, but awfully brave through text. I think it is kinda scary.I have to admit, I too have been pulled into this crazy messy World Wide Spider Web. I am soo connected, that I have become slightly disconnected. I mean, I have taken it one step further than the Kids that have there own Blog spots, I have my own damn Website ( that is by the way, the best Web site in the World and not as sticky as walking into most spider web sites).  I say lets all start with the man in the mirror (thanks M.J. for coming on randomly in my itunes collection just now.  how perfect is that?!!) and lets make that change.Might I suggest, putting that phone down and leaving you lap top behind for 1 whole hour a day (baby steps at first ) and see how that goes. Lets keep some of our day to day lives a mystery, so that when we actually run into each other in the day, we have more to say than, ” I saw your status on facebook yesterday, what happened?” Or, ” I  already Know what you did all day yesterday .” thanks to your endless twitter updates. P.S. Lets all stop us using the word “Stalker” so loosely. You can’t really call someone a “Stalker” If you let the world in on ever move make. Ever heard of the boy who cried wolf? Exactly.Whatev’s though,  do what you wanna do, just don’t forget about real life peeps! Anyway, if you wanna reach me, you know how to!
